We found Jerrall on Angie’s List. We called and left a message, which he returned within several hours. We set an appointment and he arrived on time. He performed an inspection and found the problem, showing us pictures of what he had found. He fixed the leak around our chimney as well as did some routine maintenance around other openings in the roof- sealing them to make sure we would not have future problems. I can’t say enough good things about Jerrall! He was honest and up front with his quote. We bought our house 3 months ago knowing it would need a new roof. He told me up front that I would need to replace the plywood decking in addition to the shingles. He even took me up on the roof to show me where the existing plywood was rotting. Jerrall is thorough and took the time to explain exactly what he was quoting and what work would be done. I really appreciated his honesty. When it came time to pick the color of shingle (something I’ve never put much thought into), Jerrall offered to put 3 foot by 3 foot samples on the roof so my wife and I could see how they looked. This helped a lot with our decision. When it came time for the work to be done, the crew was on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They cleaned up completely when they were done. Jerrall cares about his work and I would HIGHLY recommend him.

No one looks forward to replacing their roof, but Jerrall (the owner) and the guys at Ace Roofing made it a good experience! I can’t speak highly enough about Ace Roofing. I had a leak that was caused by things just not having been done right by previous homeowners. Jerrall came out and provided a fair and timely quote to not just replace the old shingles, but to also properly fix the problem so I wouldn’t end up with a leak again. Although roof repair is dependent on the weather, Ace Roofing was easy to schedule with and kept me informed as weather changed that schedule slightly. On the day of my roof replacement I was without power so they couldn’t run saws to do the work. Jerrall and his team showed up the next business day with a generator to do the work (this is above and beyond what they had to do). They corrected the issue and I now have a BEAUTIFUL LEAK FREE roof! This is a small family owned company so you won’t get a live person to answer your call every time since they are on job sites working, but in return you get individual attention which is much more valuable to me. They do one job (house) at a time. The owner comes out on every job. You may find him working with the team and looking over things to make sure everything is done right and cleaned up at the end. I didn’t find a single nail after they were done. They treated me with respect, took obvious pride in the work they did, and made it a good experience. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for roof work to be done.

I want to give Ace Roofing the highest recommendation possible. A full roof replacement was not an experience that I was looking forward to, but thanks to Jerrall Rich and his team, everything was far smoother and less stressful than I anticipated. Mr. Rich, the owner of Ace Roofing personally assessed my property before giving me an estimate. He then took the time to meet with me and explained my options. He was up front about what he recommended and why. He also let me know options that were not needed for my property. There was nothing hidden in the estimate and it was accurate to the penny. The roof replacement was scheduled promptly. The Ace Roofing team showed up on time and they even finished the job early. Jerrall re-roofed our house in the early nineties shortly after he first moved to the Charlotte area. Outstanding work at a very competitive price. His professionalism, communication about the work being done, suggestions were very commendable. His crew cleaned up at the end of the day so well I could not tell that anyone was working on the house. We were so impressed with his work on that roof that was still in good shape at the end of the warranty period (right through Hurricane Hugo), that when it came to be time for a new roof, I just gave the job to Jerrall without shopping around. The results were the same as 20 years earlier. In all our years of experience of contracting work for the home I don’t know of anyone else that I would give the same unqualified approval for any work done at our house.

Thank you for a job well done. The roof you installed looks great and the entire process from beginning to end could not have gone any better. The crew that did the tear-off of the old shingles and the installation of the new shingles was great. They showed up early, usually before 7:30 AM and stayed late, leaving just before it got dark. Before leaving for the day, they cleaned up and removed any nails and debris from the driveway. Thanks again for a job well done. Jerrall came to the house to look at repairs that were listed on a home inspection report. He was such a nice person, was on time and extremely knowledgeable. He told me that he would not take any of our money because he did not see what the inspector was talking about. He did find a different issue and suggested that I hire a contractor to take care of the repair. I offered to pay him $100 for coming out and he refused to take it. Told me to use the money towards the repair. Who does that !!! If you need any roof repairs use this company, it will be the best decision you will ever make.

Jerrall came out, looked at and measured my roof then gave me a proposal the same day. He arranged to have the new roof installed within one week. The crew arrived on time, were professional, protected my plants and moved all the patio furniture, cleaned up the grounds and were careful to collect the nails that missed the tarps and even rolled the grass for nails.
